I started working on the moon last night. It's a nice change to be using just the one variegated colour (Amber - WDW). Nice and easy solid stitching.
Moonlit Garden - 2 June 2009
You'll have to excuse the dull colour of the photos. I try to take my pictures without the flash. Saying this, it's still reasonably dark before I head off to work (when I take photos during the week) and it's even darker when I get home. Just one of many things I don't like about Winter. I've tried to lighten them up on the computer a little, which has helped.
I'd like to also welcome anyone new who's viewing my blog. I'm happy if you'd just like to 'look' or delighted if you make a comment. Whatever you're comfortable with. I'm not one to put any pressure or expectations on people. Please drop by whenever you like! Thank you also to my regular visitors. You're what makes me feel like I belong to a little community of cross stitchers. :)

It's coming along nicely!
I went to stitch last night, but we had a big storm. The lights went off several times, so I just went to bed. My husband loved it though, he sat outside and occasionally yelled into the house "oh...crikey" with a huge smile on his face. Even after the house was hit with a lightening bolt.
I love your blog and I don't comment as often as I should! Beautiful job on this piece! It's in my stash, and I can't wait to start mine now!
Moonlit Garden is looking fabulous. I have this one about halfway finished. It has such an autumn feel to it. I read your blog regularly but do not often comment. I will have to change that. :)
Have a good week.
It's looking great! I love the color variations with that thread in the moon.
Lovely work!
Glad I stopped by your blog today. I am one of the new people to read your blog and I am really enjoying it. As I read your "about me", it sounded a lot like me in terms of my passion and favorite designers. I bookmarked your blog and look forward to reading it in the future.
I am really enjoying your progress on Moonlight Garden. It's beautiful. Love the color of that moon!
Love your pics, they are great, as is Moonlit Garden, with the appearance of that gigantic moon!:)
Darnit... I knew that I wasn't able to lurk without being noticed! =)
I've been reading your blog for awhile now after catching the link on someone else's site. Have watched your Shepherd's Bush finishes with a smile on my face, and now am watching this gorgeous one while desperately trying to find my own copy. If you want to sell the chart when you're done.......
Your making wonderful progress on Moonlight Garden, it's fabulous! I have really enjoyed reading your blog, everything you stitch makes me want to find the chart and stitch it myself! I wasn't a real fan of Moonlight Garden but seeing your pictures of it has really peaked my interest in this one!
Your BBD is soooo pretty! I'm another faithful follower who is guilty of looking but not often posting, and I vow to change that. Your photos are always just so amazing--very inspirational.
I (halo over my head) always leave a comment! Sometimes a little too cheeky but you know me!
I love the colour of the moon!

Jane, this is turning out so beautiful--and I don't think the pics are dark at all. That fabby you're using is great with this design. Love it!

would like to comment on the background colour: I found it a bit hard to read, maybe a lighter colour would help?.
