Easter Stitching

My progress over the Easter break...

Ah, 'Tis Spring - 4 April 2010

I've decided to do the pocket and carrot on the bunny's dress with two threads to bring it forward a little. I think this will create the effect I'm looking for.

The colours in these photos have brought up the real toning of the Sand fabric I'm using.

I hope you've all had a lovely Easter break, with family and friends, perhaps some gardening, odd jobs around the house, and definitely a little stitching in the mix. Oh, and there's those things we know as Easter eggs! Yummmmmmmm. It's the time of year when we can indulge in a bit more chocolate than we normally would, and get away with it. Perhaps not so much around the waist but the eating part we can still enjoy. My Easter break has had all of the above with some glorious weather thrown in as well. Beautiful sunshine, mid temperatures, really wonderful Autumn weather. It's one of my favourite times of year.

Two threads makes sense...Lavender & Lace does that in reverse (one over one) to get the petite, detailed effect on faces and hands...bet yours turns out perfectly.

It is a beautiful piece, and you work is magnificent! And your photos are also so beautifully done!

HAPPY STITCHIN'

Oh Jane! This is turning out so cute. I just want to run right over to my stash pile and start putting some stitches into this. I love it! I may have to end up buying the CC, to get the same look. Yours is perfect.
I really like the addition to the pocket. It really needs it. Have a wonderful day!
Hugs!

I just love your little Easter bits, the egg and the bunny Jane. I know I am going to have to hunt some bits like that out for my collections.

Great stitching as always and your blog is always such a pleasure to visit.

Very nice progress. The stitching on the dress seems to be done very soon. And I think it's not the most inetresting part to stitch, lol. Great idea with the pockets.
