A Funny Cat Story

Not a lot more to show but I thought you might like some new photos to gaze at. I only stitched for an hour or so last night, so I didn't get much done.

Summer Iris - 6 January 2010

I wasn't even going to post tonight but for this...

Here's a funny story which may make you giggle. I was taking down my Christmas tree and decorations last Sunday. I had bags lying about the floor to put things in, which included some large paper ones with handles. My cat Charlotte, decided to hop in one of these paper bags and rummage around in it. Next thing I hear is this noise and the paper bag flying off at a great speed! The bag went up over my lounge, down on to the floor, through the dining room, to the kitchen, down the hall, then all the way back to the lounge room, and started the journey over again! When I'd realised that a cat was inside this bag, with her caught in the handles, I started to laugh. Then I panicked because I thought she was going to damage or break something while she was flying around the house. So up I jumped to rescue her. She wouldn't stop though because she was scared out of her wits trying to get this bag offf her. Eventually I caught her and removed said bag! No major damage done, though poor pussy hid who knows where, for the next 10 or so minutes. She eventually came out and I gave her a big hug to calm her down. Where's the video camera when you need it? Funniest Home Videos would have had another entry!

LOL at the cat story! Reminds me of the time we were clearing out our garage and a mouse got stuch in a bag - the sight of the bag bouncing about the back grass as the mouse tried frantically to escape!

As always, your stitching is beautiful - love that scissor fob too!

Your stitching is so pretty!

I am a cat person (have many, many of the feline persuasion!) so I enjoyed your story. Charlotte cat is GORGEOUS! We found one of our kittens resting in the middle of the tree this year.

Your cat story is cute! My cat is too lazy for that, though he almost knocked down the Xmas tree twice.

Lovely stitching, as always...

Lovely photos!! Remids me that I need to make a few scissor fobs! I loved that story. I had a kitty that had the exact same thing happen to. He went to exit the bag and his tail hooked one of the handles--YIKES. That's when you realize just how fast a kitty can be, lol.

I can just imagine the scene! Kitty's can be so funny! I can just imagine her fright.
My cat was playing super hero yesterday. She would run and leap over this game my daughter left out in the middle of the room, like she was "leaping over it with a single bound!" She did it over and over, it was hilarious.
Your summer Iris is gorgeous! Thanks for the well wishes for you know what! I'll send pictures soon.

Beautiful stitching and lovely pictures.

We've had that very same thing happen at our house with one of our kitties. Needless to say, she doesn't like paper bags anymore and we cut the handles of the plastic bags we let the cats play with. (It is a funny sight to see, a cat racing around being attacked by the bag cape! LOL)

Oh no, poor poor Charlotte... My cats have done that couple of times too, got caught in a bag or something and then run around the house while trying to get rid of it. It sure looks funny, even though you're trying to help and think how panicked they are :)

Your stitching is beautiful as always!

LOL at the cat and the bag story! Charlotte is so beautiful, her name suits her too:-)
The story reminded of my Molly doing a similar thing but she ran under the clothes airer and got caught in one of my daughers vest tops, her head went through the sleeve and there was Molly running round with a vest top on not knowing how to get it off!! Cats..gotta love em!

LOL at the cat story. It reminded me of when we were kids - my 3 siblings and I put a mesh laundry basket over our kitty, and watched him run all over the living room. We were kids, what can I say?

I love your scissors fob! Very delicate!
