Threads & Linens

I received a package in the mail this week. I needed to order my Mother's birthday present (she enjoys needlework too), so I took the opportunity and got some threads and linens for myself.

My order came from Needlecraft Corner whom I've bought from a number of times in the past. Drema usually does the orders and she is so helpful and communicates well. Plus they will always have something or another discounted, so you can save some money while you're at it.

The fabrics I got are all Weeks Dye Works in 35ct.

(from bottom left, clockwise) Parchment, Mocha, Baby's Breath, Angel Hair, and Straw.

The threads are for various charts I have in my stash, which I will need in the future.

DMC Threads

WDW - Conch, and GAST - Holly Berry and Old Brick

I think I'm in a slight slump with my stitching lately. I haven't done any since last weekend and I'm not itching to get into it. I don't know whether it's the chart I'm working on, the weather (pretty average lately), or just a general slump. I don't think it's the chart because Strawberry House is quite a lovely design. I think it's just one of those moments I'm having. Sorry for my lack of progress lately. I hope it won't last too long.

You'll get over your slump soon! The fabbys the floss are great. I'm loving that baby's breath color!!! I'm a sucker for pinks and browns together.

You will get over your slump soon; sometimes we all need a little break from our passions and then the fire is refueled.

Your pictures, as always, are gorgeous! When you buy the linen for future use; do you get it in any particular size? I am dreaming of building a linen stash someday but I don't know how to do it. I always just buy a piece when I am ready to stitch a chart.

Thanks for sharing those yummy colours of your stash. Particularly I like seeing the WDW linens as I don't have any yet. Drema is wonderful to buy from.

Sometimes we need a break and it's ok too! It may be a good time to take out and play with your stash and dream of new projects to come!

I think we all need a break every now and again. Sometimes I feel like I eat, sleep and breath stitching 24/7. Lovely new stash though, you'll be able to do some planning if you're not stitching. :)

Wonderful stash! I loved seeing your WDW fabby picture. The colors look great yet I've never used WDW fabric. I love ordering from Needlecraft Corner. I'll be putting in an order soon myself.

Sometimes life just gets too busy but we always get back to our stitching in the end. I am using WDW Parchment linen at present and it is really nice to work on.

First, I want to say you have the neatest stitching I have seen on blogs.
Second, the colors, OH the colors you chose are beautiful and inspiring.
I love the fabric. The colors you chose are just fabulous!
Third, everybody goes through some "stitching block" I call it and it will pass, no worries. I'm sure you will be right back into it soon. I have times like that too. Then I have some days like today where I need to be cleaning my house and instead I'm stitching like crazy.
Your pictures are so clear and closeup photos are great!

Laura, unless I'm buying for a particular design that I know which fabric I want for it, usually I'll buy quarter yards or eighth yards. Apart from kits, I often get indecisive about which fabric to use for which pattern. There's too many lovely fabrics to choose from these days. :)

Thank you to everyone for your wonderful comments!
