Another finish ~ Wooly Winter

Here he is, my little Wooly Snowman. I sat down to a lovely stitching session yesterday afternoon and added him to this Winter design. He didn't take long at all to do. Such a joy to stitch up and I love the tassels at the end of his cap.

There weren't a lot of embellishments to add to this piece, so I was able to finish it all up by late afternoon. Then some photos were in order to compliment this cute design.

DESIGNER ~ Shepherd's Bush
PATTERN ~ Wooly Winter (released in 1994 as a kit)
FABRIC ~ 32ct Twilight Blue Linen
THREADS ~ Au Ver A Soie silk (1 over 2)
EMBELLISHMENTS ~ Beads - Creme and Carrot, Charm - Silver Snowflake
STARTED ~ 7 August 2009
FINISHED ~ 16 August 2009

My photos show the joy I have when I get to finish a project. Hours of work involved needs to be captured in pictures.

Now I'm at the place again on deciding what to do next. I'll need to have a look through my stash to see what jumps out. This time I haven't decided what's next, before I completed my latest finish. It's a wonderful choice I have to make though. :)

Til my next project... keep those needles flying with all those gorgeous creations, everyone!

Your blog as well as your stitching are all just totally beautiful!! I love all of your stitching here! I just love Shepherd's Bush and I have quite a stash for them that I need to stitch. Seeing your blog does inspire me! I used to live about 100 miles from Ogden, Utah, where they are located and never knew they were there until we moved to Texas and I found them online. I would love to visit their store someday. Your stitching is so lovely!!! Debby

This is so pretty! I am a new reader to your blog and have been enjoying following along and seeing your progress. I've done a few SB and have enjoyed them as well. All the beautiful cross stitch blogs have inspired me to start my own.

This is a gorgeous piece and you stitched it so quickly! The colors, as usual, are beautiful!

How do you get your photos so clear?? Do you use Picassa or is it just your camera???

You are slowly convincing me that I should take an interest in smaller stitcheries. This is adorable. It's loaded with detail yet small enough to aim for the finish. I really love the color of your last few finishes too.

Your wholly snowman is cute! I always love seeing your photographs of your projects; they are just as beautiful as the stitched pieces themselves.

Have a great day ;)

Ladies, you make me smile with all of your wonderful comments. Thank you!!!

Colleen and Candi, I take my photos on Macro mode with my camera. I use my camera software to alter the contrast, and perhaps lighten or darken the photo. Then finally I utilise Picasa to sharpen and collage. All time consuming but worth the effort. You can click on Picasa in the 'links' heading in my sidebar to download their software. Hope these points help with your photography. Thanks for the compliments! :)

Thanks, Jane for the tips!! Now, where's my Macro setting on my camera???....hmmmmmmm :)
