An Easter Parade!

Your comments and help on Autumn Blessings were so appreciated. I felt your encouragement and support very much - thank you!

What will I start on next? I'm going to keep with the theme for the time of year it is and go with an Easter design, since that's just around the corner. It's another Shepherd's Bush kit (can't stop working on these for the moment), called Easter Parade. I love how their kits have everything needed to go, so I do tend to gravitate towards them when picking out a new project.

SB Easter Parade kit

The kit includes 32ct Light Sand Linen, silk threads (including overdyeds), yellow beads, and a cute pink heart button.

I started on it yesterday and this is my progress so far...

Started 27 March 2009

I hope it won't take too long to complete, although I have a feeling the eggs will slow it down a little. It's not a very big design with the height only being 2.5" and the length 6.5". I thought it would be a fun one with Easter coming up.

Hi Jane,

Your stitching is so cute! I love shepherd's Bush too. (There store is 25 mins from my house, and it's always a favorite place to go.) Just found your darling blog today, and I'm adding it to my bloglist so I can come back and be inspired.
Love your title picture! The snippits of some of your pieces, again, are so incredibly cute! I have French Heart in my stash, and seeing yours has made me want to get it out and work on it! Ugg! So many projects, so little time.
Thanks again for posting.

You've got me itching for a Shepherd's bush kit. Hmmm..... I wonder what I should do today??

Your start is great. I know you will enjoy it! Keep us posted.

I think you need to ask Shepherds Bush for commission. I like your Potting Shed so much I've spent the last hour or so looking for shops in Oz which sell it!

I am blaming this all on you - because of your beautiful SB's I pulled one out to start working on. It is so nice to have the kits and have everything at your disposal when you're ready to start! You're off to a great start on Easter Parade!!!

This is a great new start. I also love the Shepherd's Bush kits because they really have everything added. And the fabric is always linen. I don't like kits with other kinds of fabric because I always change to linen.

I don't like to stitch way ahead of a season I prefer stitching Easter bunnies or eggs in the Easter Season and not at Christmas. Seems like you feel the same :) The fabric an the silks are looking so yummie. And your start is so cute.
